My husband and I lead a Small Group at our church. Our next study will be Andy Stanley’s “Guardrails.” It is a fantastic, practical study. I decided a little tag reminder for each member would be helpful.
I have been married to my high school sweetheart for 47 years. We have two children, a son and a daughter, now grown with children of their own (we have four grandchildren). I now spend a lot of my time with my hobbies (scrapbooking and genealogy), as well as church activities. My undergraduate degree is from Southwest Baptist University (MO), and my Master of Education degree is from Drury University (MO). Before retirement, as a public educator, I taught HS social studies and Eng, Kg, 5th gr, college Eng, college educ courses, and Gifted. I also worked for IBM K-12 Education, as a national product specialist. I taught private piano for many years.
I love: Jesus Christ, my Redeemer and Master; my husband; my children and their spouses; my four grandchildren, each of whom is very special in unique ways; my extended family; my church; my friends; my doggie; my life.
I like: my hobbies; puppies; teddy bears; coffee; spring days; autumn days; living in the woods; cooking; traveling with my husband; playing piano.

ABOUT MY BLOG
Synonyms for “Sentiment” include: feeling, emotion, response, reaction, attitude, opinion, outlook. Those words describe my postings here. Randomly, I record thoughts that are on my mind at a particular point in time. As is obvious, I don’t spend a lot of time thinking, “what shall I blog about today?” My blog reveals a "thumbnail" picture of who I am and what I believe, but certainly does not represent an in-depth picture of me. My most enjoyable hobbies are multi-media art and scrapbooking. Here I share many (not all) of my projects, and I share a layout now and again. (I scrapbook all photos I take, fill 2-3 albums -12x12-to capacity every year, so I share only a sample.) And, “Soapbox”—I imagine many would say that’s a pretty good one-word description of me, since I have an opinion on just about everything (and have never been shy about sharing it, way before there was such a thing as a blog)!
