SonSurf Beach Bash VBS
Our church is a "church plant," first launched to the public in September 2002. For some of our years, we have been "mobile," meeting in school buildings. We do have our own leased building now. Last year I directed our very first VBS, with 50 children and 25 workers. This was our second year, with 71 children and 30 workers. It was awesome!! Thursday is the special day where we emphasize why Jesus came to earth, died on the cross, and rose again. Our pastor (my son) shares what the Bible has to say and then gives the children the opportunity to speak with him (and me) individually, if they want to know more about becoming a child of God. As a result, ten children gave their hearts to Jesus. The entire week was an incredible blessing--and SO MUCH FUN!!
Married to my high school sweetheart for 51 years, we have two children, a son and a daughter, now grown with children of their own (we have four grandchildren and a granddaughter-in-law). I now spend a lot of my time with my hobbies (art and scrapbooking). Before retirement as a public educator, I taught HS, Kg, 5th gr, college Eng, college educ courses, and Gifted. I also worked for IBM K-12 Education, as a national product specialist. I taught private piano for many years.
I love: Jesus Christ, my Redeemer and Master; my husband; my children; my special daughter-in-law; my four grandchildren and my new granddaughter-in-law, each of whom is very special in unique ways; my extended family; my church; my friends; my doggie; my life.
I like: my hobbies; puppies; teddy bears; coffee; spring days; autumn days; living in the woods; cooking; traveling with my husband; playing piano.
She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come.
She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue.
She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness.
Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her:

ABOUT MY BLOG
My blog reveals a "thumbnail" picture of who I am and what I believe, but certainly does not represent an in-depth picture of me. My most enjoyable hobbies are Faith Art (Bible Art and Faith Art Journaling), family history, and scrapbooking. Here I share many (not all) of my projects. I also share thoughts from my heart.
